If you don't agree with it or aren't comfortable with it, don't post there.

No, not me. I care too much about this great forum to turn a blind eye. I have reported the thread to Doctor Q and have also gone on record as a person who condems animal cruelty.

Or simply report the thread rather then making several post and a thread about it.
Good thinking.

How exactly do you define animal cruelty? The cat needed a bath, so it got one. Is it child abuse to bath a crying, screaming baby because it does not like water?

I don't understand your logic. I mean, yeah, poor cat isn't enjoying the bath, but it is worth getting this worked up over?

BTW, I think we're using the word "torture" pretty loosely here.

I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill, to be honest.

While I think it's cruel that the cat was left in the PET SPA (<--- take note that it was actually designed for animals and most are probably fine with it) I don't think it's worthy of being described as torture. I also see nothing wrong with there being a thread about it on MR.

You are blowing this way outa porportion and making way to big of a deal about this.

Just relax and report the thread if you find it so offensive. The truly bad threads don't generally make it here, and when some do, they are removed promptly.

Good thinking.

There's a big difference between giving a baby a bath and subjecting a cat to water. I define torture as any kind of act that causes extreme emotional trauma of physical pain.

As angry as I am about this incident of posting disturbing videos, I'm trying my best to keep my emotions in check without resorting to personal attacks. The moderators have not responded to any of my pleas for help; which is why I felt that it was necessary to start this thread.

Which of the above do you believe takes place in the kitty washer machine?

I wonder why.

I agree with MACDRIVE that we can do just fine here without links to a movie of an animal suffering. A post report was all that was needed.

...my pleas for help...

And the Oscar goes too....

Seriously mate, you're overreacting. You clearly have a passion for animal rights, which is great but I think you'd be better off putting your energy into something that might help animals that are really tortured. For examples the bears in china that have draining tubes hanging out of there bodies to collect their bile, while locked up in tiny cages. Now to me, that is animal torture. A cat trying to get out of a bath is not. Cruel yes, torturous, probably not. I suppose it's all semantics anyway.

Thats the problem with you animal people. You guys are just to freaking extreme for anyone to put up with you guys. The animal was going through a device that obviously PETA supported, are you trying to say that this organization supports animal torture. Maybe you should start spamming there message boards because theres probably countless more animals going through the same time type of "torture."

I guess this thread is going to get out of hand faster than two PETA members can fill a dumpster.

Overreacted? Perhaps, but at least I DID react; some of you did not; which is disturbing in and of itself.

I thank Doctor Q for removing the thread; I am very grateful.

Get OVER it! Yes, it was pretty cruel, but there have been worse threads.

By that logic, I could define homework as torture.

You overreacted.
