It happened again

I wrote a long elaborate answer to a thread :

"This is what you do:

Solution 1: (cost <1k)
  • buy a mac mini with quadcore on a discount (~600,-)
  • buy an ssd and owc data doubler (~200,-)
  • put the ssd inside the mac mini
  • buy 16gb ram (~150,-)
  • download DaVinci Resolve Lite (for color grading)
  • use iMovie for editing

Solution 2: (costs nothing)
  1. sell your 500d and lenses (market it as dslr with RAW capabilities ;) )
  2. buy a Nikon D5200 with a VR kit lens

I recommend solution two. And here is why:

  • the D5200 gets it right in camera. The video quality is damn close to the 5dmark iii.
  • ML does not have real RAW. The footage is downsampled inside the sensor to 4:2:0
  • editing the "raw" footage requires a lot of time and comouting power, which you probably do not have
  • the D5200 also takes great photos
  • the 500d has moire and aliasing problems, the D5200 doesn't
"

5minutes later the whole ****ing thread is gone without a trace!

Why?

This was the thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=19587674#post19587674

I've noticed threads disappearing before and I find it very annoying!

Bit more complicated then that, but should have thought about it some more.
just realized the thread is 3 months old and the OP banned.
Someone tricked me into posting by resurrecting that **** thread.

Sometimes that happens... No biggie though, especially when trying to post helpful advice. People doing searches may find it useful someday. :)

That's part of the reason the thread still remains. There is some useful information that future members may find helpful.

One of mine and another members (citizenzens) posts disapeared over night.
The posts were by no means frivolus or violated any other forum ruls and I did not get any reminder about it. PRS forum:" no religion is a religion" somewhere after post #260. I can't recall his exact post but my answer was: "You are starting to get it ;)"
