Hi all,

I just switched from firefox to Safari 4. In firefox, if I swiped down with three fingers it would go automatically to the bottom of the page, and if I swiped up it would go to the top.

Is there anyway I can do this in Safari 4? I really miss this function.

Thanks,
Nihar

I would download and use multiclutch. It lets you assign custom settings to any multitouch gesture for any given application. It's great and would let you do that if you want to.

There is a three finger swipe in Firefox? Really? Which version?
I just use Command + Up or Down.

if you use multiclutch you can do anything really, I have it set up that rotate right opens a new tap and rotate left closes one, pretty limitless in terms of customization with the handful of gestures there are.

Nope. Just the Back and Forward buttons in Safari.

Darn it. I wonder if a future update will add this feature.

I have the most recent, version 3.5.1. Three finger swipes were added only two updates ago, or so.

Wow, thanks for the tip. I'm going to go hunt that application down right now.

Thanks for all the help,
Nihar

Like others have said install MultiClutch. You can set three-finger-swipes to what ever you want.

Mine is:

• Swipe left/right - back/forward
• Swipe up/down - cycle through tabs
• Rotate right - new tab
• Rotate left - close tab

Amazing!

I just downloaded MultiClutch, and WOW! This program is fricken awesome! I did the whole swipe up, swipe down thing that I wanted in Safari, I also did rotate right as reload, and rotate left as stop.

I set the zoom in and zoom out motions to work in Word and PowerPoint.

I'm gonna go a bit crazy now....

Thanks again for the MultiClutch suggestion.
