Hey I purchased an black 3g about a month ago and I'm loving it so far but today I just noticed 3 red/purple dots to the left of the top speaker(where the sound comes out during calls) and I was wondering if that was normal. My iPhone has not been exposed to water. The dots look like . :

Any help?

One senses the ambient light to adjust screen brightness and the other shuts off the screen automatically when you are on a call so no buttons get pushed accidently. All normal. :)

Here's the information about them: LINK

pce :apple:

They're brain probes that go directly to Steve Job's testicles (wirelessly of course) so he can better assess the needs of the consumer...at least thats what he tells himself- that sick pervert!!

:p That gave me a lol moment.

In all seriousness, that does explain why there are two so close together and one farther out.

Lol I saw them in direct sunlight just now and I got scared that my water sensors got tripped up :p. There kind of a nuisance in my opinion...

more of a nuisance than randomly pressing buttons when on the phone?

scenario:
*ring ring*
answer phone
put phone to head
caller gets muted, placed on hold, and then hung up on

now thats a feature i really want

now they just have the built in dropped call feature that random hits you when you have full bars. it's a wonderful replacement for your face accidently hitting a button on the screen.

i've never had that feature :(
