To be fair, in Canada if carriers started offering unlimited data (which they will NEVER do), it would be a hell of a lot higher than that (no joke).

I'm paying £87 for the x on EE but 30 quid more is abit much...and the three tariff isn't even an annual upgrade.

It is a huge markup. Even with no up front cost.

That cost means the monthly tarrif is about £70. I pay £14 a month for my three sim only with unlimited data. A £70 terrif is just obscene.

Remember the good old days iPhone 4s three uk one plan unlimited everything £35 24 months free phone.

That is absolutely crazy no one in their right mind would go for that.
But they do it because they are.

It would save you over £1000 if you go sim only and buy the phone on iUP or even get a bank loan. But I would seriously advise against taking our a bank loan for a phone.

People should wait to March next year my work colleague picked up a iPhone 7 on mobile phone direct with 30gb free phone £37.
Too many impatient people these days.

If you want the latest you need to pay. But remember kids. Your paying for 2+ years at that price. And if you forget or don't realise you will continue to pay that after your time is up (after the 24 months you own the phone so can move to a cheaper, sim only contract).

Due to the cost and the 'yet to be refined' tech in the X I'm moving to a 2-3 year cycle from my previous every year cycle.

My wife does not care about mobile phones so managed to bag a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with 5gb of data on EE for £28 a month for 24 months with no upfront cost.
