I just saw 30 or so perfectly good 3g iphones just get thrown in a bin at work. They said the phones were out of contract or unused. But if a new user requests one they will just order them a new 3gs.. Money well spent! haha

yeah I dont think the company cares to use ebay that much when they make about 1mil profit per day!

Bin does not (necessarily) = Trash Bin

Most likely it was an excess bin...probably going to be sold off to women's shelters or some other charity cause...then they can write them off as a charitable contribution. Corporations aren't in the habit of disposing expensive products without getting something back from them. Only time you'll see that is when a piece of equipment is so old that it is difficult to support and is pretty much worthless anyway.

Hey, can you send me a couple? I'll pay for shipping and gratitude!!! :)

Ugh, another double post... :(

Have watched the company I used to work with trash computers ALL the time. Doesn't surprise me that cell phones have started to fall into this. The computers get refreshed so the others have to go.

My company sells off all old phones and computer equipment after they scrub them of all data.
If they can't sell it, they donate it and take the tax credit.

I highly doubt any company would take a bunch of 3G iPhones and simply toss them in the trash.
