Ive got a 1GB thumb drive plugged into USB2.0 24/7. Every night the big project I'm working on automatically gets backed up to it. This is very convenient since I have no other external drives and only one hd. However, the (aluminum) thumbdrive is constantly very warm. Is it a bad idea to leave thumbdrives plugged in all the time?
