I notice when when I work on documents stored in my thumbdrive, and if my Imac sleeps (say I leave my table for an extended period of time), it will disconnect my thumbdrive and fail to detect it should I replug it in later. Thus, the only way to access my drive later is to restart my imac.

Is there any way around this? I could work around it (copy the file to desktop, take out TD before leaving table etc), but it is troublesome, and would appreciate if there was some command or function to resolve this? :)
