The thumbnails for the Documents and Downloads folder on my Dock don't show up anymore. What could be the problem?

Thumbnails in Downloads and Documents Folder Not Showing

Sorry, I meant something else. I can see my Documents and Downloads folder on my Dock. However, when I click on them (in Grid or Fan preview mode), I should be able to see thumbnails of its contents. These thumbnails don't show up.
Can you post a screen shot? It would also help to know what Mac OS X version you're running.
