Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 frequent freezing in Snow Leopard

Thunderbird is freezing on me quite frequently now. I keep it open since I check my mail frequently throughout the day. I never had issues with it before Snow Leopard. Has anyone else had this issue and gotten it resolved?
