Thunderbird cannot send on MB but can on imac

My imac at home can send and receive emails from my hotmail account ok.

I set it up using defaults and not manually setup.

Now did same thing with my 2009 macbook but cannot send emails only receive.

I deleted account and put in details from outlooks help page, now it cannot receive either says wrong details.

I am a little confused why imac works set to defaults but macbook does not.

Can anyone offer any help?
