This thread is not geared towards how to configure thunderbird that part is taken care of.
I'm curious what I need to do with mail once it hits thunderbird. Here's what I have noticed after using apple mail with imap gmail. But because it's not stable I have changed over to thunderbird.
1. If you delete messages you then have to go to trash to really delete them. Most of the time they don't delete at all they just go to all mail.
2. Spam. I have been deleting these for months but this morning found out they where going into all mail and not getting deleted. So after an hour of picking them out via the web interface I have them deleted.
These two issues have me perplexed and unless there is an easy way to fix this from happening I'm just going to go back and use the web interface.
Thanks.
