Just installed Thunderbird but cant get rid of the temp thunderbird image on the desktop. I delete it but when i open thunderbird it re-appears again.
Any ideas?

little bit confusde, would you please post a screenshot and point out what "temp" you are talking about?

did you drag Thunderbird from image folder to your application folder and run thunderbird from there?

Hi Clevin
I did drag it to the apps file but I opened it from the image file i think. perhaps i should unistallit and start again, but not sure how to uninstall.
New to macs, only got it yesterday and never been on one befor

after you drag the thunderbird from image to your application folder, you should always open it from application folder.

you can remove the image folder by click the eject button (small upward triangle in the Finder windows, next to the icon of thunderbird image)

Thanks Clevin, got it sorted now.
So, unlike windows, to completly uninstall a programme, you just delete everything to do with that programme from the apps folder? is that correct?
Thanks
Gary
