Hey

Decided to stop using the default Mac OS X Mail app today, since it's super slow with my g-mail.

I, therefore, set it up with Thunderbird, which is running great!

I set Thunderbird to be the standard mail app,
and i allowed it to let Spotlight search my messages.

When i do, however, use Spotlight to find an old message,
it opens the mail in the Mac OS X mail app, when i click the "link" in Spotlight!

Anyone know how to fix this, so it'll open in Thunderbird,
and thus making Thunderbird the default app for >everything<?

Thanks

Is this POP or IMAP that you have running with Gmail?

If you have messages saved on your computer, that means that Mail has kept a local copy on your computer. When spotlight searches, it is still finding those messages within Mail, and thusly, using Mail to open them.

I would suggest deleting your Mail messages. However, if you have IMAP set up, turn it off before doing so, as it would (I assume) sync those changes on Gmail's server.
