Thunderbold and existing LED TV display

Hi,

I have a 2009 24" LED TV display, connects to the MBP (2009 also!) through 3 wires: power, USB, dvi port. That cable can
not be unplugged from the display.

Do I understand properly that this does not change with the new MBP, we just plug in the existing dvi cable into the new thunderbold outlet, then the USB and power as before?
