SO i am trying to find a thunderbolt 2 extension cable for a hard drive. Everything i have tried or located are Mini Display. It will power the drive up but never mount it. Any one have any ideas?

Thunderbolt devices are listed in the System Report application.No I know how to fo that ,ihave had the Mac for just under 2 years know.
I just thought there should be a icon showing the Thunderbolt is on here.
