I'm trying to clean up my messy desk and I'm looking for a TB 2 Hub for my early 2015 MBP. Which one is best?

I could be wrong here but I think Akitio's is about the only one still on the market.

I have the TB1 version of the Akitio (also bought well after TB3 was out) and it still works pretty well - but it'll depend a lot on what you want to connect. It's focussed on traditional peripherals more than the recent TB3 ones are: FW800, eSATA, USB3.0 - not ethernet, displays, card reader, etc.

Use a Thunderbolt 3 dock with the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter. It will give you a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 (at 20 Gbps), DisplayPort alt mode, and USB 3.1 gen 2 (10 Gbps) capabilities.

Like Joevt wrote, works like a charm. And when you buy TB3 stuff, you got it for the future. I did buy a TerraMaster TB3, and connected to the TB2 iMac behind the TM I do have Usb-c dock and it works great. No power issues or whatsoever.
