I have a late 2013 MBP 15 with two useless thunderbolt 2 ports. They are useless because finding reasonably priced accessories in Thunderbolt2 is simply impossible.

And so I need an adapter that takes the thunderbolt ports and turns them into usb 3 which is what all the the reasonably priced peripherals are now.

And yes there are many out there, but I've gotten tired of looking for the right one, and perhaps someone has already found one that works without damaging my MBP......

Looks like a 3 or 4 port USB 3 hub would be way cheaper.

The adapters that go from TB to USB3 are still really expensive (cheapest I have seen has been about $60 for one TB to a single USB-A 3.1 out.) In some cases, a full Thunderbolt dock is less expensive than two TB-->USB3 adapters, unless there are less expensive products on the market that I am not aware of.
