Hello,

I'm going to install Windows on either a Thunderbolt 2 or a USB 3.0 external SSD (Looking at either a Samsung T5 versus a Lacie). Does Thunderbolt 2 offer better performance for gaming (and also frees up a USB slot) or should I just go with USB 3.0 (Cheaper and more versatile)?

Best,

Speak from experience or?
Most games load the majority of their assets into RAM at the start of the game, so any future assets needed to be loaded are not very big, and therefore any differences in latency between the two connections are not observable. Also, they both have so high bandwidth anyway, so no matter what, you won't see much of a difference.
