Hi all, before anybody comes at me for this question, yes I did look this up online, and all I get is articles about the difference between these ports.
I am asking because I am going to get an enclosure that comes with thunderbolt ports, which is a little older, and I can get cheaper, and the newer version with thunderbolt 3 ports.
I did come across some stuff online describing issues of just a slight bump causes disconnects and multiple waring messages.
I am working with some important documents, and I so not want to get my hard drives corrupted due to bad cables. Yes, I do back my hard drives up, but I have an active work area, and things do happen.
I found these by OWC; https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/CLINGON1PK, to deal with the issues I am talking about.
Has anybody else had problems with thunderbolt 3 connections? I am tied with sticking with thunderbolt 2 connectors, but I do not want to be locked into older hardware, even if it might be more stable, or going with the newer thunderbolt 3.
