Since Thunderbolt 3 optical cables aren't a thing yet, it looks like we're limited to 6ft cables for now. However, Thunderbolt is daisy chain-able, so do there exist any Thunderbolt 3 devices that just exist to act as a daisy chain? If not, then what's the cheapest daisy chain capable Thunderbolt 3 device?
 
I looked for a TB3 extension cable and couldn't find one. Someone somewhere said that they're not authorized. Makes zero sense to me. There are a lot of TB3/USB-C 7-in-1 (or whatever) docks that have hard-wired USB-C cables that are super-short, which sucks if you want to hide the dock and not have it sitting 6" away from your MacBook.
