I will be getting an egpu shortly. Is the new apple thunderbolt 3 pro 2m cable worth the $129? I want to avoid disconnects and blips in speed. There is also a Belkin 2m cable at about $70 but I see it has some mixed reviews. Since the apple cable is new (and expensive), there are not a lot of reviews about it. Thanks.

I have the 0.8m version of this cable from Apple and it has definitely made my eGPU more reliable than the cable that came with the enclosure. It was worth the extra money in my opinion.

Thanks. Anybody have the 2m active version of the cable? I guess there is more circuitry involved than in the shorter passive one.

Bump. Anyone have the 2m active cable? I may buy the .8m version to tide me over.

I have a new eGPU enclosure on order and may need a longer TB3 cable, if I do, I will buy the Apple version and let you know. FYI, this won't happen for at least a couple of weeks.
