Hi everyone, I hope this question belongs here. I have the LG Ultrafine 5K and, since a few days, the M1 Mac mini
I still have my old 13" MBP early 2015 that I still use for Bootcamp with Windows; this machine had formerly been connected with the LG, of course delivering only 4K (TB3 to TB 2 adapter).
I really would like to use both machines with my LG Ultrafine. In former times, there were switches for sharing printers, or keyboards, such as https://www.ugreen.com/products/2-in-1-out-usb-2-0-sharing-switch
Does something similar exist for Thunderbolt 3? So that I could connect the monitor with the Thunderbolt Switch, and the switch with a) my M1 Mac mini and b) my MBP, and that I could press a button on the switch to decide which machine shall send informations to the monitor?
As I have hooked up my keyboard and my mouse with the LG display, this would also direct the input devices to the machine I intend to use at that very moment which would be very useful.
Of course, I can go to the back of the LG's panel and connect and disconnect every time I want to switch between the Macs. This is not only inconvenient, but above all the plug connection does not look very stable, so I would like to avoid doing this.
Any help very appreciated! 🙏
