I have an OWC Thunderbolt 4 hub coming and I need a Thunderbolt 4 cable to connect it to Mac Studio. Reading up on these cables there are reports of some Thunderbolt 4 cables not working to well. It seems like the early days of the lighting cable. I normally would just stick with Anker but before I purchase one is there a better choice. The OWC cable has top ratings. I could get an Apple cable but $60 plus bucks 🥹

I think the hub comes with a cable to connect to your Mac.
It does. I had already decided to get this hub and it was in my wish list and I did ordered it from there. The OWC Thunderbolt 4 cables are rated in multiple review are being #1 in their testing. Like Acker they are as good as the Apple Cable at half the price.

What length do you need? I have two of these(Cable Matters 2.6ft TB4) that I use regularly with my mac mini/ASD/external drives without any issues. It was last on sale for $22 during Primeday so I'm guessing same pricing on Blackfriday.

I have also found the Cable Matters TB4 cable (2m in my case) to work very well in a range of use cases (Caldigit TS4, Dual Studio Displays, M1 Max MBP). I like that it also works with iPad Air (USB-C to Studio Display) and iPad Pro. I have a couple of the braided cables and cannot find any problem with them.

I had an active Caldigit TB3 cable that is more hit or miss (e.g. doesn't allow the iPad Air 5th gen to drive the Studio Display). I suspect this is because USB4/TB4 is more backwards compatible than TB3 was.
