I've been searching and searching and can't seem to find the answer without spending an arm and a leg.
Is it possible to use some kind of adaptor to tether my DSLR camera from the HDMI to my iMac into the thunderbolt?
Everything I find seems to solely be for an output for a secondary display or it's hugely expensive like blackmagic. I don't care about VIDEO for this purpose, I just want my pictures to show full screen on my iMac during a studio shoot.
I have a Canon T2i and I'd like to take advantage of my HDMI port to show my photos instantly on the computer, say through Lightroom 4, into the thunderbolt port. I don't want to use USB, it's SLOW.
Anyone know my best most affordable solution to this? Or am I just going about it the wrong way?

(Thanks in advance to anyone kindly and knowledgeable enough to know this answer and respond.)
