Thunderbolt Connection Preventing iMac Waking

Having an issue where my computer will not wake from sleep until I physically disconnect an external Thunderbolt RAID. As soon as I unplug it, it wakes up. The RAID is a TB2 OWC Thunderbay and it's connected via an Apple TB3 to TB2 adapter.

Had this issue sporadically in Mojave, but it's been consistent in 10.15.1 and 10.15.2

Any ideas?

Specs: 2017 5k iMac, 10.15.2, Radeon 570, USBC external SSD as my system drive
