I Forum Bombed another discussion that wasn't exactly this. Couldn't find this one; hope I am not repeating.

I have a TB display. I saw on YouTube that it is possible to get them to meet. Looks difficult.

They say you can flash a Titan card. How?

Anyone else got ideas?
 
I would avoid Thunderbolt displays if possible.

But if you want to try, there's a thread for that:
Flash Mac compatible firmware to the GC-TITAN RIDGE, maybe install OpenCore and add SSDT. I think this thread has MacPro5,1 specific SSDT info?
I think the thread should be turned into a Wiki so all the info can be summarized in the first post (with links to all the informative posts)

You can see how the hackintosh people do it at (roms and SSDT examples)
The SSDT would need to be modified to match your MacPro5,1 slot.
