Thunderbolt Display - ethernet / sound flaking?

Anyone out there have issues with a Thunderbolt Display flaking out on the display speakers and Ethernet?

The TB ports seem to work fine on the display; as i am using a TB-Eth adap on a different port.

The speakers will work for a little while; then start to fizz out.

Machine is a 15" rMBP i guess g1; 2.3, 16gb Ram;

Mavericks OS.

The ethernet issue was only with the port; and it had intermittent drops.
