Thunderbolt Display faint rattling noise

Hello all!

I have a Thunderbolt Display connected to a 2011 i7 MBA for a few weeks now and I noticed a faint persistent rattling noise coming from the display in a quiet room. It sounds like it's coming from the display's fan but I'm not sure. Is that normal?

No, I wouldn't say it's normal; the display is supposed to be completely silent. Probably a bad bearing in the fan, or foreign debris stuck in it causing the rattling sound.

Contact your place of purchase to get this remedied.
