Hi.
My friend is considering a purchase of Thunderbolt display. He already has Thunderbolt Mac so he can really make use of every feature there is.

But he's trying to go the "cheap" route by buying LCD panel for 60% of the price of TBD but I'm telling him that he'll probably spend the saved money over time on TB hub and such. He has small apartment so I think he'd benefit from not having TB hub with tons of cables on his desk.

Anyway the main dealbreaker for him is the ability to use TB display for watching TV WITHOUT buying a TV tuner. He has a cable TV box that outputs via HDMI.

My question is: is TB display capable of having two inputs at the same time and possibly switch between them. I'm not sure if that display has two TB ports though. My idea was to put TB/DP-HDMI adapter and switch between the connected MBPro if needed.

Is there a solution for this?
