Thunderbolt display not turning on sometimes?

I use a TBD with my 2012 11" MBA and sometimes when I plug the monitor and power to the laptop, the drives connected to the display would spin up indicating that it is being recognized but clicking my wireless keyboard or mouse does not fire up the display it just remains black until I pull out the MBA then restart it and plug it back in.

Fresh reinstall of your MBA WILL solve your problem.
