Now that early customers have started receiving their Thunderbolt Displays, Apple's availability of the product has improved from an estimated 2-3 week delivery to only 3-5 days on Apple's online store.

The Thunderbolt Display offers Apple notebook owners a combined monitor and hub through the Thunderbolt cable. The Thunderbolt display offers Firewire, USB, Ethernet, and an additional Thunderbolt port.

Apple and Intel introduced the Thunderbolt connector earlier this year and has deployed it across all their new computers. The Mac Pro remains the only Mac that has yet to be refreshed with the Thunderbolt port, though it is expected to be revised later this year.

awesome, can't wait for the new Mac Pro's. They will probably be refreshed for Sandy Bridge-E so they could support quad channel RAM ! :D

Two arrived today at my desk to substitute a 30" acd that is yellowish due to its age.
They are wonderful!
I connect my MBP with thunderbolt to one display, keyboard to USB on the first, the second display to the first with tb, iPad and iPhone via USB, gigabit Ethernet and fw800 time machine hard drive to the second display.
Seems to work well :)

Will someone tell me why my order from september 1st isn't shipping out for 12 days?!?! Does this mean everyone is cutting in front of me???

I had one on order the day after it was announced but cancelled because in the past they would always make the order un-cancellable, wait two days, ship from China about the same time they would show up in stores. This time it looks like I would have gotten it sooner if I hadn't. They're showing 3-5 day ship times and my local store says they haven't got any.

Give me the new Mac Pro with two of these babies!

Hopefully, the new Mac Pros will support more than 2. Since iMacs as well as the 15" & 17" support 3 displays (the built-in one as well as 2 thunderbolt displays). I'm just thinking of the setup they had in the movie Swordfish. I think that I just had a geekgasm. :p

Really????

Because I just off the phone with Apple, who gave me a ship date of no later than October 7 for a TB display, 27" iMac, and 13" Macbook Pro. This, after being originally told a shipping date of September 15.
