MBA thunderbolt/displayport output to a SAMSUNG LN46C630. The TV has an analogue audio output on the back that will pass on anything that comes in on HDMI (from a displayport adaptor).
Is is correct to assume that the audio connection to the TV via minidisplayport to HDMI is digital, then there is a DAC within the SAMSUNG that converts the signal for output to analog 1/8" RCA?
Is the DAC in the TV better than the MBA? or no?
Thank you!
