I'm on a hunt for a thunderbolt drive to add onto my mac mini. I've got plenty of USB drives and a USB 3.0 hub but I can see it pushing the USB 3.0 bandwidth when I have more than a couple drives plugged in. I'd like to start utilizing my thunderbolt bandwidth for more than my monitor, so I've looked into the various hubs (Elgato, Belkin, CalDigit) and most recently stumbled upon the SonnetEcho 15. It has a optical drive and the various other connections, but at $400 with no hdd/ssd (and its not available yet), the other docks would be a much better value to purchase and add on a hdd, albeit a less elegant solution.

Does anyone else offer a dock/drive combo or is the Sonnet the only option with the Elgato/CalDigit dock + hdd the best value solution. I use the word value modestly here, since there isn't a single thunderbolt peripheral that's truly a good value is there?
