Why is that that there does not seem to be an external RAID enclosure that has Thunderbolt AND other interfaces like Firewire, USB, eSATA.
All the RAID enclosure I find, Pegasus, WD etc only have 2 thunderbolt ports.

Whats the restriction here, there must be a logical explanation to why they dont put several interfaces.

cheers everybody

Check out the Drobo Mini which offers TB and USB.

and so does the drobo 5D. Thanks for posting that :)

Do you know if I could have the device attached to one computer with TB and to another with USB at the same time and read / write from both (not necessarily at the same time)

interesting :)

Oh I googled a lot. But I was looking for resellers in germany. And none of them here have the DAToptic systems.
It is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Like my last post asked, can it can be connected to 2 computers at the same time each with a separate interface?

In my research none of these types of enclosures can be connected to two computers. You can however share the drive on the network, GIG-E is plenty fast for most applications.

Thats a real pitty. I would need to write to it from both computers. Guess i would have to figure something else out
