Hi all,

I didn't see this pop up in the forum and wanted to ask what your thoughts are. Given how Thunderbolt integration has been a bit 'slow'...what do you think are the chances of having two Thunderbolt ports in the new Haswell update? Or you do think Apple might concede a bit and have only one Thunderbolt port and have three USB 3.0 ports instead?

For me...I'd rather have USB 3.0 all the way. Thunderbolt is pretty useless to me. I only use it as a video display port is and I only have one mother of monitor anyway rather than dual monitors.

Thoughts anyone?

Personally, I doubt there are any major design changes and would be surprised to see any change to the number or type of ports.

You may only use one port, but if people have a TB -> gigE adapter and a non-TB display...they'd be screwed if they lost a TB port, unless they're using the HDMI port. Apple's not likely to give up on TB so soon.
