I have a 2012 MBA, running 10.9.2, which has worked flawlessly for the last 18 months. I used to use my Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter extensively, but haven't been using it for a while. Last I used it was probably before Mavericks.
Yesterday I had to use the Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter and it is not recognised at all. The adapter works in my Mac Mini, and also the Thunderbolt interface works on the MBA. I connect my ACD to the MBA and it runs just fine, albeit my ACD is the pre-Thunderbolt version, and is "just" using the Displayport functionality. I also have the Displayport->HDMI, and that works fine as well.
So what can be going on? There is not even an entry in the Network Preferences for the Thunderbolt Ethernet, and when I plug it in nothing happens. I tried to click the "+" to try and add the service, but it is not on the list.
I checked System Information, and the Thunderbolt Bus is listed, the firmware version is 23.4, and the status is that no device is connected.
Anyone?
