I have a windows 8 laptop with a thunderbolt port. I also have an Apple Thunderbolt Display. If I connect the two, I know I can get the display to work properly, but the difficulty is that the ATD's thunderbolt cable, even though it appears to be the same size as the jack, won't slip in like it does on my macbook. I've only gotten it in once, and I kind of had to shove it, but it was recognized as a device and all of that, but I didn't know I had to restart it for it to recognize it as a display, so it should work. Bottom line: What can I do?
