Ok I got a 2011 15'' MacBook Pro but I want to run this http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/ what should I do?

Wait for a USB 3.0 to TB interface and read the following thread in between (especially 3.):

Well... USB 3 is technically compatible with USB 2 interfaces... you could... try...

I think I'd look for an alternate or wait for a Thunderbolt to Usb 3 adapter than connect through that.

If there is a TB to USB 3.0 cable it might work. However, I would email the company and ask if they plan to support TB? They might surprise you and say that they are working on one.

If you had the 17" you could get a USB 3.0 ExpressCard which would plug into the MBP. The 15" does not have an ExpressCart Slot so you are either going to have to wait and see or upgrade.
