Hi all,
I think I've confirmed that my Thunderbolt port is dead. I can no longer get my second monitor to work, unless I try for about ten minutes and then hold the adapter exactly right. I've tried three adapters to make sure it's not my thunderbolt to VGA adapter. I thought maybe it was just my screen until or VGA cable until yesterday when I had to run a live event and they ended up needing to use my laptop to run a video. That failed horribly because it did not work, after trying for ten minutes.
So, I switched to a 2006 MBP and it worked first time.
I'm wondering if they have to replace all the ports on the side in order to repair this? Anyone had this repaired? Estimated repair time? Hopefully not two weeks like last time.
