Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter not working on new MBP

Hi all,

I got my new 13" MBP a few weeks ago, and ordered this Thunderbolt to HMDI adapter so I could use my TV as a sort of second display. However, when I plug it into my Macbook, the laptop's screen turns blue for a few seconds, but the TV continues to say no signal. I know that the cord isn't busted, because I tried it on my mom's Macbook Unibody and it worked within seconds. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would try to see if the HDMI is working or try another HDMI. Usually that will fix the issue.

Definitely not the HDMI cable, as it has worked on all of my other devices including other macbooks. I think the problem is a bug in Mountian Lion, as confirmed with these people here -- http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/ap...dmi-cable-not-working-os-x-mountain-lion.html. Any ideas of work arounds?
