Hey guys, just wondering, I have a 2011 MacBook Pro that I am completely happy with, and may be getting an iPad Pro 12 inch that means it has USB 3. I was wondering if it's possible to turn my thunderbolt port into a usb 3 port so I can run the iPad Pro as an external display at USB 3 speeds? Thanks!

Unless you want to spend $200+ on a thunderbolt dock I'm fairly certain something like this is your only option.
