Tibook blue vertical line issue -- what is it?

On my Tibook 500mhz it's got a single blue/green vertical line running through it.

What is the consensus about this problem? Video card or video cable? I know it is a common thing -- just makes a good useable old laptop a little irritating to use. Screen is fine outside the line.

A friend of mine had a similar problem, which he fixed temporarily using a binder clip at the top of the lcd. Pressure at the top of the screen where the lcd is encased seemed to make the line go away. I'm not sure if your problem is the same as this, but he eventually replaced the lcd.

Well, SOMEONE on MR should know how to fix this problem. I know because someone I sold the computer to last night just fixed it and relisted it for double the money I sold it for!
