TiBook keyboard is sticking...

Hey folks, I thought one of the genius types here could help me out with my little problem.

The "z" key on my keyboard is stuck, I think.

Looking at it, its looks fine. But when I try to hit the key, I have to sort of hit it in the top right corner, or press down very hard to get it to work. Does the key pop off so I can see what the problem is? I didn't want to go pulling around and snap the thing off. Any ideas??

Look at them all. Between them you should get some ideas that will help you though this problem. If not, call Apple if you can.

It's not hard to take off the key to check it out. Shut down the TiBook (don't just put it to sleep) and then get a pair of steak knives. Slide them underneath the key, one under the top edge and one under the bottom edge. Gently pry the key up and off. It's possible there's some gunk in there, or perhaps the key just got unseated somehow. Be VERY gentle with prying the key off and don't apply any more force than you absolutely HAVE to. Putting the key back on is a snap--literally. You just snap the thing back in.
