Hi,

I'm trying to connect my TiBook to my PC via IEE1394 (which came as a freebee with my Audigy bundle). My WinXP system doesn't automatically recognize the MacintoshHD. Is there some way to make it do this? How?

Thanks, Mike

Doesn't your TiBook (running Jaguar I assume) recognize your PC? If it does, why worry about the PC's view... just work from your TiBook.

No, I'm still running 9.2 as I'm an audio engineer whose key software hasn't all been Carbonised as yet. I'd really like to find a solution for offloading audio and video files onto my home PC's big HD when I'm not using them.

The PC recognises the TiBook in Target as an "Unidentified IEE1394 Device". Does this sound like an HD formatting issue?

Thanks, Mike

Yeah, it's a formatting issue. PCs can't read HFS+, so boot up in Jag, transfer the files from the TiBook end, and then go back to 9.
