Hi, i try to install 10.4.4 tiger OS on my A1173 iMac but during install i found that my disk2 is missing and installation asking me for disk2. I cannot get rid off this message or cancell install every time i reboot same message, i get stuck. How i can fix this problem? Please help me. Regards

i try but after reboot few times computer is still trying proceed installation and asking for disk2, i have no access to disk utility,erase etc i am devastated

Last Tiger I installed was 10.4.7 and setup does not ask for Disc 2 if you uncheck additional apps (iPhoto...), drivers etc.

Thank you but actually i cannot do anything because system stop and asking for disk2 and i dont know how to cancell this installation Every boot holding command, options etc keys is not working is still proceeding wit install, i cannot uncheck anyting. What i can do to get startup like before install? Regards

every time i start iMac i am starting from installer disk nr 1 then computer is loading and at the end message "insert disk2" and eject disk. Button cancel is blanc so i cannot cancel. Find Leopard install, boot to its setup, go to disk util, erase disk/partition, and then go back to Tiger, and then uncheck anything other than OS.

My friend i totaly understand what you saying,but I CANNOT go to disk utilities and to erase and to uncheck BECAUSE even if i put tiger disk1 or leopard disk there is no reaction using keyboard, system is still trying continue previous installation ending with message "insert disk2" THIS IS MY BIGEST PROBLEM AT THE MOMENT!!!!! Then it looks like you have optical drive problem or two bad copies of OS X installer (Tiger and Leopard). There is no logical software reason why would EFI ignore your chosen boot disk.

That should give you the startup manager to then select another OS disc.

Thank you, when i am pressing cmd+option+P+R keys there is not second chime, just loading previous installation

Hi, when i put inside disk with Windows just for test and press option key computer shows me boot option for Hard drive and CD (DVD) so i think optical drive and keyboard are working. I download few OS like leopard, Tiger etc but how i can burn them under windows to make them bootable in my Mac?please givive me some clue.Thank you

You'll have to have a look online really to find that, eBay generally has a few old discs floating around
