Just out of curiosity, is it possible that the performance of Tiger on my Al PB G4/1.5 w/ 1GB RAM will see improvements on the order of 10.2 to 10.3? Can anyone share their experiences on performance differences between Panther and Tiger (w/o breaking their NDA of course  )?

Thanks much

doubting you'll see huge improvements, but probably a few noteworthy improvements with the overall system. you can't always get faster and faster.. it's just further optimization, but i wouldn't expect what you got from 10.2 to 10.3.. some things will be faster, but it won't be as drastic.

WTF?

While we're at it, could someone tell me the performance increase for a dual core 2.4mhz powerbook running OS XI (Ocelot)?
I am thinking about holding out purchasing a new laptop before then....

I think we can safely say that your Dual Core 2.4MHz PowerBook won't be capable of running XI ;)

Tim.
