Tiger help needed please. Font problem!

Hello,

Currently running 2 partitions: one with Panther and one with Tiger. Problem I have found is the system font in Tiger, whether highlighting any item in menus or webpages etc. looks bolder to me in Tiger than it did in Panther. It looks messy to me and blurry! My website (www.joesmastering.co.uk) looks like crap now. How can you turn it off?
