Tiger Help on G3 B/W

I am running Tiger on a G3 B/W running at 450mhz with 800+ ram...

it seems pretty unstable becasue i have few other macs running tiger in my house. i am up to date on all of the software and when i run disc permissions there are constantly the same fixes and a lot of them...

10.2.8 was really really stable on it but i even have trouble installing tiger...to actually install it i had to deselect all of the extras, printer drivers, fonts etc...

it kept trying to install it and it kept on saying that there were errors and told me to restart and reinstall...

so far it has frozen once and had a semi kernal panic....

any advice would be very helpful...

I had one Power Mac B&W Rev. B that would always give me that same message about the errors. I tried it with multiple hard drives and Tiger DVD's. I think it's just a bad drive controller or something.
