Tiger is lagging after installing the latest software updates

Just recently did the software updates and my Tiger is lagging pretty bad now.
It freezes for every 2 mins or so for couple secs. with the rainbow circle appears.
Anybody has similar issue?

There's never a better time to upgrade to Leopard!
